The document describes a modular luminaire system called Lunis_R that provides flexible lighting solutions for various industries. It has a recessed platform that can integrate air handling devices or a loudspeaker. The center module options include air supply and return versions that interface with a 100mm air hose using controls valves, diffuser grills, or a negative pressure ceiling system. Diagrams provide information on air flow, pressure, and noise levels for each version.

Centre Module Air Handling Device
General
The recessed platform of Lunis_R is capable of integrating air handling devices for air conditioning systems.
There are different versions avialable for both: air supply
and air return systems.
The luminaires come complete with all material preassembled to interface with a standard 100mm air hose.
Additionally there is a version available for air return via
a negative plenum ceiling system.
When no special valve is applied the centre is covered
with a perforated metal disk painted either in white or
metallic grey. In the case of a diffuser grill respectively a
control valve a metal ring is used in order to align the
diameter of the valve to the centre ring of the luminaire.
Options available as a standard:

3.
Air return via negative plenum ceiling system

4. Air supply interfacing 100mm air hose
via control valve
5. Air supply interfacing 100mm air hose
via diffuser grill
Please find special information on the different versions
as a design aid for your projects on the following pages.
Product sketches, dimensions as well as air flow versus
noise and pressure diagrams are figured. The diagrams
have been taken either from the documentation of the
valve OEMs or have been measured in Sitecos´s own air
conditioning laboratory.
Product enquiries
In order to respond correctly to your enquiry we ask you to specify the complete order code of the luminaire. For that please
use the code of the luminaire´s platform and add the extension
for the desired centre module. Note also, that the light control
insert (C-Louvre, Collector lens, Glass diffuser) is handled as a
separate accessory, referring to our product brochure “Siteco
Lunis_R”.

Controlling the air flow
In order to control the air flow an aperture resistance pipe can be used (e.g. Siteco order
code 5LP900 7-6 (2)). Please find the curves

Special Mounting instructions
After the ceiling cut out has been prepared
the gear box has to be connected to the
mains. The air hose should be positioned in
the centre area of the ceiling cut out while
its end protrudes approx.. 10cm beneath the
ceiling. Then the cable link is plugged onto
the luminaire´s chassis which then will be
mechanically fixed to the ceiling by operating the fast - locks. The air hose now is
attached to the 100mm flange in the centre
assembly and clamped e.g. by using a hose
clamp. After that the centre assembly has
to be fed back into the platform and be
fixed throught three screws/keyholes. Now
the circular T5 lamp has to be installed.
With Collector Lens or Glass Diffuser
The lens is kept in position directly underneath the reflector while it is locked to the
luminaire by twisting the centre module.

Features
The wide band speaker system integrates
with recessed and even with surface and
pendant mounted platforms. The nominal
power is 15 Watts at 8 Ohms. The frequency
response is between 70 Hz and 18 kHz (8dB). Centre modules with built - in transformer are available for application within
100v PA systems. The transformer can be
tapped at 1,5W, 3W or 6W. The module has
a perforated meatal cover. A layer of felt is
installed between speaker and cover in
order to avoid acoustic resonances as well
as to obscure the system from view.
Siteco recommends to limit the speaker
load to a maximum of 2 Watts in order to
minimise distorsion caused by acoustic
interference. For most applications 2 Watts
of nominal power are enough.
Special Mounting instructions
The module comes with an individual terminal block for the speaker. The
centre assembly with the speaker is fixed by three screws/keyholes within the
platform. As the product comes with the centre preassembled in the platform
it needs to be removed for mounting.
