An 2012 overview of our Arsenic Quick, recognized throughout the world as premium inorganic arsenic field test kits. Designed using cutting-edge chemistry, our kits report results in as few as 14 minutes and detect from 0.3 ppb. All Arsenic Quick™ kits detect below the MCL limits of inorganic arsenic concentrations in drinking water set by the EPA of 10 ppb (parts per billion) and the FDA limit in bottled water of 5 ppb. How our Arsenic Kit worksØ Reduces inorganic arsenic (trivalent andpentavalent arsenic) in an acidic aqueoussample to arsine gasØ Excess hydrogen gas is generated, whichfacilitates the passage of the arsine gasthrough the reaction test strip which formsa yellow color in the presence of arsinedirectly proportional to the arsenic level
  4. 4. How our Arsenic Kit worksØ The reduction in all these kits utilizes zincand includes the following reactions:As4O6 + 12 Zn +24H+ → 4AsH3(gas) +Zn2+ + 6H2OandZn +2H+ → Zn2+ + H2 (gas)
  5. 5. How the Ultra LowArsenic Quick II Kit worksØ Tartaric acid is used to replacehydrochloric or sulfuric acids to removehazardous reagentsØ The analysis is done with a 500 ml samplein a closed reaction bottle (plastic), whichminimizes arsine gas hazards.

  7. 7. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 1Ø  For best results, thewater temperature shouldbe between 22°C to28°C. Use a thermometerto verify the temperatureof the sample.Ø  To the Reaction Bottle,slowly add the watersample to the marked lineon the bottle (500mL).
  8. 8. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 2Ø  Add 2 level pinkspoons of firstreagent (tartaric acidwith iron and zinccatalysts) to thereaction bottle. Capsecurely with theblack cap and shakevigorously for 15seconds.
  9. 9. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 3Ø  Uncap the reactionbottle and add 2 levelred spoons of thesecond reagent(MPS which oxidizessulfide)
  10. 10. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 4Ø  Recap securely withthe black cap andshake vigorously upand down for 15seconds. Allow to sitfor 2 minutes (thisallows oxidation ofsulfide).
  11. 11. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 5Ø  Prepare the turret cap asfollows: Open the packetand carefully remove thestrip. Avoid touching theMercuric Bromide testingpad. Position the testing padover the orifice and pressdown the turret handle overthe pad until it locks intoposition on the cap.
  12. 12. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 6Ø  Uncap the ReactionBottle and add 2 levelwhite spoons of theThird Reagent (Zincdust). Recap securelywith the black capand shake vigorouslyfor 5 seconds.
  13. 13. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 7Ø  Remove the blackcap from the ReactionBottle and recapsecurely using theturret cap with strip.Incubate for ten (10)minutes
  14. 14. Test procedure for theUltra Low Arsenic Quick IISTEP 8Ø  After 10 minutes pullthe turret up. Use theColor Chart (Quick™Ultra Low II) andmatch the color of theexposed side of thetesting pad within 2minutes.
