It is proposed to develop a Motorsport Training Initiative that differs from all existing Motorsport Courses & Training Programmes in the UK.
With a view to making it available all over the world
Have had significant interest from the USA, as well as interest from Germany, Italy, Denmark, Belgium, Holland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and India
The Initiative will be managed by SCU–Motorsport (SCU Stands for Schools, Colleges and Universities).
What has driven the development of this initiative is a number of deficiencies in the existing Motorsport Training provision experienced personally by me.
Having taught on a Motorsport Course for 3 years, and experiencing the lack of coordination between Academic Establishments that run Motorsport Education Programmes, the absence of a Race Series for Colleges and Universities to compete against each other, the unstructured approach to progression through the Motorsport Academic framework and into employment in the Motorsport Sector, a lack of a means for students to engage with Race Teams and Organisations in the Motorsport Sector, and what I believe to the wrong approach to a number of Motorsport College provisions.
SCU-Motorsport will work with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA), Race Teams and Motorsport manufacturers, and selected Motorsport Colleges to develop a course that meets the requirements of the Motorsport Sector.
