Lizzie asks…
How to remove scratches from clear coat on car?
I have 3 series BMW 2008 color monaco blue metallic the paint is in good condition but there
are small defects and scratches all over the clear coat. I know it’s not through the paint
because I did the finger nail test and couldn’t feel the scratch. I clayed the car, washed and
waxed the scratches are still there? Is there Way to get rid of them?
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
After you wash and clay your car you should use a liquid polisher like meguiars swirl remover
and then you put on Meguiar’s NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 and your car will look brand
new. Do not use a machine to apply anything. Do everything by hand. It is alot of work but after
you finish it is worth it.

2. Nancy asks…
What is the best product that can be used to remove Automotive
clear coat scratches?
My car is only a few months old and already I can see thousands of micro scratches in the
clear coat in the sun when I wash my car. I’m not concerned with these but there are a couple
spots where the scratches are more visible. I’d like to get rid of these if possible. They are not
deep at all. My car is dark blue.
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
I would try your regular wax first with a good orbital buffer and see if it will do the trick for you
and if it doesn’t I would recommend going to a body shop and asking them what they use and
I’m sure it will be something from 3M.

3. Turtle wax ice, can I use it on my 1 week old brand new Honda
civic in neutron blue?
When I got the car a week ago, the body feels so smooth. The car has diamond kote, but now it
does not feel smooth. It was raining for the past week here in Vancouver and now it has dried
water spots. I’m planning to wash the car tomorrow. I’m going to buy the turtle wax ice car
wash and polish it after also using the turtle wax ice. Is it safe for the paint and also the clear
coat if I use a high pressure hose from a self serve car wash?
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
Absolutely. Your only concerns are: has the paint been curing for at least a month? Is the wax
abrasive?
If the car is at least 1 month old from when it was shipped, you can wax it. Otherwise you should
let it sit longer and cure so you don’t trap any evaporatives that are still leaving.
And there are waxes that are meant for removing scratches and oixidization. You don’t want
anything to do with those on a new car. I saw a maserati with loads and loads of baby scratches
across it’s still extremely glossy paint and realized then the effects of using the wrong waxes.
Sandy asks…
Newly repainted car, what happens if u don’t wait to wash it for a
3/8
4. month?
blue metalic urethane base paint
no clear coat
painted by inexperenced father
paint seems to be starting to bubble up
have wiped it off with water a few times to clean off bird stuff
will be buffed and shined in 2 or 3 months
Auto painters tell you that on newly repainted cars not to wash it for a month and not wax for 3
months.
tiny bubbles, not big bubbles in the paint, just more in some places than others.
the is a suitabble primer/sealer between paint and surface.
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
Since it hasn’t been cured properly, it needs time to cure. Time. And it doesn’t need any type
of wax coating on it, as this will hinder the process. As far as RebelBitch’s husband and the
clear coat thing, I myself do not usually use clear coats to make them shine. A high quality paint
job is usually ‘rubbed’ out and no need for clears. Even though clear isn’t needed for the
shine, that doesn’t prevent me from using them. There is nothing wrong with clearing a car, if
you cut the color first, well, there are just so many ways to go here. Multi-stage paint jobs are
nice, but relying on the clear to give you that show quality shine? For all Rebel knows, you might
have a single stage, I mean if you already have the metalic in the paint and not the clear, the
flakes need to be knocked down and than rubbed. The bubbles? Poor prep or as some DIYers
do it, they spray the fllor down with water to prevent dust from getting into the paint, now that
just leave water on the floor to splash up! Poor prep, but don’t worry, it can all be fixed. I do
want to point out that I do use clears in certain applications. I believe your father is the wiser
and better off if he is going to rub the paint out. He will get that rich, mile deep showcar shine.
There are paints made multistage for clearing. Small time body shops or crash and ding
repairers use the quick and easy method and usually don’t do show cars. The paint jobs at my
restoration shop start @ $6’000 + and go as high as needed.

6. Donna asks…
Can some one please give me some criticism on my poem?
She thinks about the other side
wondering if you live to die
if only she would’ve cried
talk to some one instead of hide.
Now she thinks its too late
To let her emotional sunami wave
Wash over her as her fate
Her heart is a deserted cave.
Selfish acts are all that’re here
Human nature took her too far
As she looks down a single tear
Hit a the small figure of a car.
Wind whips through her strawberry hair

7. An errie chill runs up her spine
She thinks this is the only way to be fair
She had no will left to shine.
The line between living
And simply exsisting before demise
Was behind her, the end was giving
Death was ahead of her, her prize.
She looked up at the clear blue
Watched a bird pass a cloud
And jumped while enjoying her view
Only to hope it would not be too loud
Absorbed by weightlessness
Her limbs were spread wide
She would not die feeling less
Not wanting to abide
Pavement glared her in the eye
As she neared the end
She had reached the ultimate high
And not a single injury she’d mend
The cord pulled at her waist
She passed the tear of fear cried at the top
Thinking she had maybe been acting in haste
When she decided to drop.

8. Friends pulled her to refuge
She sobbed in their arms
There warmth and love was huge
She did not want any more harms.
Now thankful for her being
This girl took a step toward lady
She learned to see life as freeing
No longer was she ever shady.
Pregnancy Advisor’s answers:
Inconsistency in playing with the rhyming ends.
The story is a bit too cliche. But undeniably touching.
And its spelled ‘tsunami’.
