Period: July1998 – December 2006
Position: Associate Research Scientist, Main Forage Research Station, Anand
Employer: Anand Agricultural University, Aannd
Field trials of nutrient managements were conducted on forage crops for forage production and quality evaluation. The treatment
wise of forage plant green samples of 500 grams of Plant Breeding, Agronomy and Soil Science and Plant Protection disciplines trials were
brought in the Forage Quality Evaluation laboratory and these samples were cut into small pieces with the manually chaff cutter and dried
under shadow. Afterwards these partial dried plant samples were put into oven at 75 C temperature for about 24 hours till constant weight
obtained. These samples were removed from the oven and weigh treatment wise and calculate dry matter content. These samples were
ground in Grinding Mill and estimated N content using Kjeldahls’ method and these N values multiplied by 6.25 gives CP %.The NDF content
was estimated using standard method. The HCN content of forage sorghum was estimated from green samples. The NO -N content, Oxalate
content and IVDMD content estimated from promising entries if forage crops which are in pipe lines or for specific trials where treatments
effectiveness required to be assessed.
I conducted 4 field trials on sorghum, maize and Lucerne on nutrient management and 2 trials were on multi -micronutrients on corn
and sorghum. Two trials each on effect of P and S on forage sorghum yield and quality in 2001 -03 and effect of different sources & levels of
S, Zn and B levels on seed production of Lucerne. These trials were repeated for 3 years & pooled statistical analysis carri ed out. The
chemical analysis of samples was also carried out. The economics analysis was also carried out for finding out the remunerative treatments.
These trials recommendations were presented in sub-committees meeting of Agronomy and Soil Science and in Joint AGRESCO meeting and
discussed and final approval. Afterwards, these recommendation finding were given to the Departments of Agriculture and Extension to
reach to the farmers’ door step. Soil samples analysis for land acquisition in Vadodara and Kheda districts for rehabilitation of Narmada
ousters for appraisal of the identified land for their suitabi lity to farming during 2000 to 2002.
Position: Assistant Research Scientist, Main Forage Research Station, Anand
Employer: Anand Agricultural University, Anand
Period: March1982 –July1998
I conducted 2 separate field trials on nutrient management on forage sorghum in rainy and summer season of 1986, 1987 and 1988.
Another one field trial was conducted on oats to study the response of forage oats to sowing dates and cutting management on grain
production during winter season of 1986-88. Pooled statistical analysis of 3 years results were carried out and worked out the economics
analysis to find out the remunerative treatments over control. These recommendations were approve as the procedure indicated earlier in
the period July1998–December 2006.Carried outchemical analysis of foragecrops trials of different disciplines for evaluating /effectiveness
of the treatments for quality and anti-quality and interpret the results and finally made recommendation to the farmers. I worked long
period of 25 years in forage crops and contributed significant work in forage crop production and quality. I had been analysi s of 1, 00,000
number of forage plant samples for dry matter and crude protein content. I had attended Group Meet/Work shop of fo rage crops at

This land converted into cultivated by farm management usingplowing, harrowing, cultivating, levelingland usingBull Dozar, JCB machine and Tractors. Improve soil fertility by green manure crops and addition of organic manures and fertilizers. I have prepared a project of “Development of Integrated Farming System at Chharodi” under Stream-I for new projects under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojna (R.K.V.Y.) for the year 2008-09. The total outlay of the project was Rs. 471.20 lakh (47.12 million). This project was shifted from Chharodi to Sansoli as Chharodi farm was closed by the Government for Tata Nano Project. I have purchased the farm equipments, office furniture and laboratory scientific instru ments as per the sanction in the project. The seed production program of sorghum, rice, wheat, corn and green gram etc has been taken up and distributed seeds to the farmers and co-operative societies. Period: July1998 – December 2006 Position: Associate Research Scientist, Main Forage Research Station, Anand Employer: Anand Agricultural University, Aannd Field trials of nutrient managements were conducted on forage crops for forage production and quality evaluation. The treatment wise of forage plant green samples of 500 grams of Plant Breeding, Agronomy and Soil Science and Plant Protection disciplines trials were brought in the Forage Quality Evaluation laboratory and these samples were cut into small pieces with the manually chaff cutter and dried under shadow. Afterwards these partial dried plant samples were put into oven at 75 C temperature for about 24 hours till constant weight obtained. These samples were removed from the oven and weigh treatment wise and calculate dry matter content. These samples were ground in Grinding Mill and estimated N content using Kjeldahls’ method and these N values multiplied by 6.25 gives CP %.The NDF content was estimated using standard method. The HCN content of forage sorghum was estimated from green samples. The NO -N content, Oxalate content and IVDMD content estimated from promising entries if forage crops which are in pipe lines or for specific trials where treatments effectiveness required to be assessed. I conducted 4 field trials on sorghum, maize and Lucerne on nutrient management and 2 trials were on multi -micronutrients on corn and sorghum. Two trials each on effect of P and S on forage sorghum yield and quality in 2001 -03 and effect of different sources & levels of S, Zn and B levels on seed production of Lucerne. These trials were repeated for 3 years & pooled statistical analysis carri ed out. The chemical analysis of samples was also carried out. The economics analysis was also carried out for finding out the remunerative treatments. These trials recommendations were presented in sub-committees meeting of Agronomy and Soil Science and in Joint AGRESCO meeting and discussed and final approval. Afterwards, these recommendation finding were given to the Departments of Agriculture and Extension to reach to the farmers’ door step.
