Pegasus Agriculture is currently planning hydroponic projects and hydroponic farming facilities and manufacturing all over the Middle East, Dubai and North African region (MENA), including Oman, Qatar, Tunisia, Iraq, Afghanistan, UAE, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

PegasusAgricultureiscurrentlyplanninghydroponicprojectsandhydroponicfarmingfacilitiesandmanufacturingallovertheMiddleEast,DubaiandNorthAfricanregion(MENA),includingOman,Qatar,Tunisia,Iraq,Afghanistan,UAE,DubaiandAbuDhabi.Manyofthesecountriessufferfromalackofarablelandandclimatesthatareunsuitableforthemassproductionoffood.
Thismeansuptonow,foodself-sufficiencyhasbeenunrealisticandthesecountriesareforcedtoimportthevastmajorityoftheircrops.

2. Ourhydroponicsprojectsarechangingallthis, andwithinafewshortyears,weareplanningtobecometheregion’slargestdistributoroforganiclocallyproducedfood,whichwillseeusapproachourgoalsofseeingfoodself- sufficiencyinthewiderMENAregion.
OurexistingprojectsincludeoperationswithourpartnersGardiniaHydroponicFarming(GHF),suchastheonelocatedinBarkaatafarmsiteatAlOqayr.Thisfarmhasbeeninoperationsince2011,andproduceshighqualityproducethankstotheutilizationoftheverylatesthydroponicandwatersavingtechniques,alongwithEuropeantechnologyandmanagementsystems.Afurthernetworkof300acresofhydroponicgreenhousesisalsoplannedintheMENAregion,whichcouldenablecountriesinthisareatobecomeself- sufficientfoodproviders.Thiswillenablethesecountriestosavemoney,andenabletheirauthoritiestoconcentrateonwidersocialissuessuchashealthcareandeducation.

3. 130hectaresoflandfordevelopment
Wecurrentlyhave130hectaresoflandreadyfordevelopment.Thislandisnotsuitableforcurrentagricultureduetoeithertheclimateorqualityofthesoil.However,thebeautyofourhydroponicsystemsisthatalmostanylandcanbeturnedintotheviablecropgrowingareas. Ourcontrolledhydroponicenvironmentsmeansthatcropsarenotvulnerabletoweathersystemsandotherclimaticproblemsthatcandamageanddestroyfoodplantsgrownusingtraditionalmethods.
Thelandwehavereadyfordevelopmentisleasedunderhighlysecureagreements,lasting100years.Thisensuresapermanencytoourdevelopmentsandprovidesalastinginvestmentthatwillyieldbothinvestmentreturnsandhighlevelsoffoodcrops.Weleasefromawidevarietyofpeopleandorganizations,fromlocalauthoritiesandmunicipalgovernmentstoprivatelandowners,andtheseleasespermitustoconstruct,operateanddistributeintheseareas.Inaddition,theleasedlandhasaccesstoenoughwatertoensurethesmoothoperationofourhydroponicfacilities,aswellashavingroadaccesstoenableeasydistribution.
Infrastructurebudget
Whilegrowingcropsinahydroponicenvironmentislesslaborintensiveandcheaperthanconventionalfarmingmethods,theinfrastructuredoesrequireaninitialinvestmenttogetupandrunning.

4. Fortunately,thankstoourwideportfolioofinvestorswehaveahugeinfrastructurebudget, meaningwealwayshavethenecessaryfundingtobeginandfinishaproject,ensuringourinvestors,farmers,distributorsandcorporatebuyersaren’texposedtoanyriskduetolackoffunds.
Whilethereisaninitialinfrastructurecost,thehighyieldsofhydroponicfarmingmeansthatreturnsoninvestmentaremadequickly;comparedtothesamesizedareaofland,ahydroponicfarmcanproduce1000%moreproducethantraditionalagriculture.Onceafarmisupandrunning,ourcontrolledenvironmentsarecompletelyautomated,sorunningandlaborcostsarelow.Thisensuresthatallhydroponicfarmsalwaysmakereturns.Inaddition,ourfarmingfacilitiesarenotvulnerabletoclimate,diseaseandpests,whichcanoftenruinconventionalcropsanddiminishreturns.

5. Globaldistributionnetwork
Ourglobaldistributionnetworkmeansinvestorsdonotevenhavetofindtheirownchannelsinwhichtoselltheirproduce.Assoonasyieldsareready,ourdistributionchannelsensureyougetthebestpriceforyourcropslocally.Inaddition,thisensuresthattheproducethatcomesfromyourplotgoesintohelpingGCCandMENAcountriestoachievefoodsecurity.
