2. The survey:

•
The survey consists of 8 questions asking the audience about their
opinion on our short opening scene of a film and the blog.
I have included multiple choice and long answer questions so I can
gain a variety of answers.
Before taking part in the survey, the person answering the questions
has full access to our blogs and film production.
Each person’s answers were anonymous so we didn’t know who
submitted what answer.
Each person who took the survey fitted the age range of our target
audience.
3. The purpose of this question was
to find out the quality of what
other people thought our blogs
were at. As a group we are
pleased that the majority of
people rated it as a 4/5 or a 5/5
and that only one person gave us
a score of 3. We did try to have
as many posts on the blog as
possible.
Question 1 Responses
4. 4/5 is a good score in terms of the
rating of out opening scene.
Reflecting on it now I can understand
why some people may feel it could
have been done better but if I do a
similar project again I will take into
account the advice I receive on this
survey.
Question 2 Responses
5. The response to this question was
relatively balanced with the opening
scene coming out as the most
favoured product, this question was
posed just so we could see which
product people though was the better
one.
Question 3 Responses
6. The purpose of this question was to enable us to
receive information on how engaging and
interesting the blog was to the audience.
Most responses included positive points which
were:
- The blog is interesting to read.
- It looks good.
- It contains a wide range of posts.
- It is of a good quality.
Some of the responses included potential
improvements that we could make if we were to do
the task again, they were:
-It could be presented more professionally.
- More posts could have been posted about the
editing process.
We are grateful for the feedback we have received
as the main purpose of the blog was for it to be
engaging and pleasing for the audience to endure.
Question 4 Responses
7. We are happy that the audience
think that the film production suits
the thriller genre, this means that
we have conformed to the
stereotypical codes and
conventions of a film in the thriller
genre. If would have been
disastrous if this question had
received negative responses
because it would have meant we
had not completed the aims of
what we set out to do.
Question 5 Responses
8. The purpose of this question was to enable us to
receive advice on some improvements that we
could make if we was the make the opening scene
again.
Some improvements that we could make could be:
- add some effects e.g. writing/credits over the top.
- Use a wider range of camera shots.
- Include more characters
- Change of music throughout opening scene.
We are grateful for the feedback we have received
and will take the information on board should we
create a product similar to this in the future.
Question 6 Responses
9. The purpose of this question was to enable us
to receive information on possible
improvements we could make to the blog if we
was going to create a similar product in the
future, some feedback that we received was
that:
- Show more pictures of the filming process.
- Upload more information about us as people
- Explain more about the filming/editing
process.
We agree with the point that more pictures
could have been uploaded during the filming
process however ,I think that it would be
irrelevant to include a lot of information about
ourselves as we wanted the blog to be more
about the task we were carrying out.
Question 7 Responses
10. This question was made to give us an idea of
how good our AS work was as a whole, we are
pleased with the response even though it
would have been good to receive a some‘5’s’
but as long as we have made an interesting
and engaging production for the target
audience we have been successful in meeting
the aims of the task. We are still happy with
the consistent scores of 4 as 4/5 is a good
score to get and because every person who
took the survey gave us 4, we can trust that
the answer is truthful.
