2. Living in Paris
• Paris is the capital and the most populated
city in France. There is about 2.25 million
people living in Paris. Paris is located in the
north of France situated on the Seine river.
3. Climate
• Because of its location, Paris’s climate is a
Western European Oceanic climate which
means summers aren’t too hot and winters
aren’t too cold. It rains more than a 1/3 of the
year.
4. Economy
• Paris is the center of the country’s economic
activity and the richest area in France. Most
people work in service industries and high
tech manufacturing. Tourism is a big part of
the economy. Nearly 75 million people visit
Paris every year to see its masterpieces and
recreation.
5. Culture
• Paris’s culture includes art, music, museums,
festivals, and entertainment, such as plays and the
opera. The main delicacy is wine. But, there are
many diverse cultures resulting from immigration.
Almost a quarter of people living there weren't
born in France.
6. Sports
• One of the most favorite sports in Paris is
Football, which is what we call soccer. A
couple other favorites are formula-one
racing, tennis, and biking in the Tour de
France.
