  5. 5. Aspirational tv  Aspirational TV is what is broadcast on TV in which the people who watch it want to aspire to what they see.  YouTube contrasts to this as the stars of YouTube are real life everyday people which making its viewers less envious. Most of the stars of YouTube aren't actual celebrities.
  6. 6. Top ranking videos  ‘Charlie but me’ a home video of two young British children, people have even created parodies.  ‘Sneezing panda’ caught on camera by somebody's trip to the zoo.  ‘evolution of dance’ middle aged american man dancing.  All of these videos are from normal everyday people.
  7. 7. Youtube stars  Charlie bit me: the home video is now so popular people even mimic and create parodies of the stars  Fred: created fictional character, who has now won awards as well as starring in movies.
  8. 8. How videos become popular  They can become popular via online communities like facebook where friends can share the links which will be passed on giving the video more hits.  There are also rating sites like digg where people can rate the videos, the highest rated videos will then get the most views.  If people search on yahoo for a video the ratings also appear, the higher the ratings on videos the more people will want to watch.
