I delivered this presentation at the 2007 Teaching and Learning Innovations conference @ U of Guelph. Here's the description from the program: "The newly redesigned Information Management course (MCS*2020) was not a class, but a corporation. The students acted as employees of “Uber Tech” a medium-sized start-up business in the technology industry. Each week task groups would formally debate information management issues in our weekly “business meetings,” fielding questions from their fellow “employees.” In other words, group role-playing activities forced the students to move beyond their textbook knowledge of Information Management and actually practice it."
