question?
We chose this question because there is a lot of
questions that can be asked that are linked to your
daily lifestyle and how healthy students are at Island
School and whether the is a difference between the
oldest children of the school and the youngest.
3. What do we mean by
your daily lifestyle?
We want to find out how healthy you are by the food you
eat and how much sleep you get and we also want to find
out how fit you are so do you do any sports? By daily
lifestyle we mean what you do everyday.
4. How did we measure
this?
We have measured this by surveying some
Y13’s and some Y7’s and compare the two
on how different they are. We will
compare their sleep levels, when and
what they eat and what sports they do.

Our results show that year 13s don’t
do as many sports and they don’t
sleep as much because they are busy
doing homework and studying for
GCSEs and IBs.

students eat have in them?
What food has in it and if it is good for you…
Cereal: Has sugar in it and can increase your BMI results. It depends on what
cereal you eat and how often you eat it. If you ate coco pops for breakfast
everyday you would get really fat and your pulse rate would go up
dramatically. If you ate cereal that had no sugar in it; it would taste like
cardboard. You would not get fat but you would not have much energy and you
would not have a good mood for the rest of the day.
Fruit: Fruit contains loads of vitamins and can be really good for you and can give
you lots of energy. Fruit has got sugar in it. I’m not saying that the fruit you
eat is bad for you. There are two different types of sugar one is the fat sugar
which is bad for you and there is the good sugar gives you a long burst of
energy, but you cant eat too much.
Pasta And Rice: Pasta contains protein and carbohydrates. It can be good for you
and is at the bottom of the food pyramid. This means that you should eat quite
a bit of carbohydrates but you should try and avoid the white pasta, and eat
more wheat pasta as it is healthier for you. The rice is the same as the pasta,
the wheat is better for you.
