about technologies from

your media product?

2. MACS
I really enjoyed using the Mac computers for
my media work .At first some of the
software was difficult to locate but after I
had played around with it for a while I
found out all the best technology to use. I
own an Ipad which I tend to do most of my
school work on, this and the Mac computers
use the same types of software that my Ipad
does. I found using the Macs was quite
simple and easy to use so this helped with
producing my work effectively.

3. PREZI
Prezi was by far the most difficult piece of
software I had to use, primarily because it
was a brand new programme that I had
never used before. Due to the fact that I had
to learn to use Prezi I think this was the
reason why I was at a slight disadvantage
when using this programme. However, I did
pick it up quite well after I had asked a few
of my friends how to do some of the things I
was struggling with, for example, adding
images and add borders.

4. KEYNOTE
Keynote is one of the programmes I have on
my ipad, so therefore I was quite familiar
with the software. I really liked this
programme because it is basically the same
as power point which is also very easy to
use. However. uploading these presentations
to slide share was a whole different story…

5. SLIDE SHARE
Slide share was definitely the most difficult
piece software I had to use. After making
my keynote and power point presentations I
had the hardest time trying to upload it off
of slide share and onto my blog post. I spent
hours trying to work it out and eventually
had to ask the Mac technician how to do it.
After he had shown me how to do it, I
realised it was easy once I knew how do do
it.

6. WORD/PAGES
Microsoft Word was the programme I used on
the school computers to create my front
cover, contents and double page spread,
even though I only used this every so often
and I knew how to use it from GCSE ICT
lessons. The programme I used mainly was
PAGES, this was available on my ipad and
the Macs. I had no problems using and
creating my magazine but once it came to
emailing them to school so I could use word I
had a few issues, but they were nothing the
school technicians couldn’t sort.

7. I was quite pleased with the
technologies I used as I felt like I
didn’t have too many problems, other
than the slide share uploading. I was
quite lucky that I used the same
programmes for the rest of my
schoolwork, e.g pages and keynote as
it meant that I could easily pick up all
of the techniques needed to effectively
complete my work.
