2. The nècora
The nécora is a small crustacean, wider than long and greenish in color,
very tasty meat, but difficult to extract from its structure. It is a species of
sea crab that comes from the Cantabrian and the Atlantic Ocean.The feeding
of the Nécoras is always well balanced, being an omnivorous crustacean,
not only can it feed on animals, but also on vegetables. Therefore, their diet
is based on small algae, small fish and some other crustaceans, even
committing cannibalism if their territory is threatened.When cooking it
acquires a red color.
3. The sea shells
Sea shells about 8 cm long. The sifonal canal is long and straight, so much
so that it can be half the total length of the shell.It is quite robust and with
large spines arranged in rows around the shell. It has about six laps, the last
one being much wider than the others. The animal has a corneal operculum
in the foot.They eat cooked.Inhabits sandy-muddy or detritic bottoms, near
the breakers of the Mediterranean and Eastern Atlantic.It is a predatory and
carnivorous mollusk, feeds on other mollusks, bivalves or gastropods. It
reproduces at the end of spring by laying eggs in spongy whitish nests.
