Class approach from the Where do we Go
1ST CLASS: SEE AMERICA FIRST (NORTH)
Focus on: USA; CANADA; MEXICO TO PANAMA AND POINTS IN-BETWEEN
2nd CLASS: VENTURE OUT TO EUROPE, ASIA, AUSTRALIA, AFRICA; SOUTH AMERICA
2. 3rd CLASS: Exotic and unusual places to go
In covering these topics, we will discuss some possible itineraries to various places and the advantages
of going by cruise ship, tour bus, rail, or river boat.
One of my purposes in teaching this class is to encourage ALL members to travel together to places of
mutual interest. Group travel affords us the opportunity to get to know each other better and to form
new friendships. Group rates are generally lower cost and offer amenities, such as onboard spending
money and other benefits.
Some people prefer traveling as a couple or with another couple of their choosing. They can still be
booked into the Group, receive the lower fares and amenities, but be as separate as they wish to be. In
other words, each individual or couple in the group chooses their own activities and does what they
want to do alone or as a part of the group.
If you are an experienced traveler you will find this information elementary because class content is
planned for those who have not cruised or toured before or who have done very little traveling. For
experienced travelers, I appreciate your input to class discussions. Your experiences will enrich all of our
learning experiences. In ALL, we frequently teach each other.
Now to some tips for travel by various conveyances. For the Blog, I am submitting these in separate
sections by topic: Tips for cruising; Advantages and disadvantages of Tours; Advantages and
Disadvantages of Travel by Rail; and River Boat Cruising.
