    • Working for a company is not an easy task.
    • We have to deal with many employees, customers and suppliers.
    • And the most difficult and important person is our Boss.
  • 3. Boss - Definition
    • It is a person who exercises control over workers.
    • It is a person responsible for hiring workers.
    • It is a person who exercises control and makes decisions.
  • 4. Important
    • Successfully managing a difficult boss is a challenge but often feasible.
    • It is important to understand three aspects of this relationship.
  • 5. Managing your Boss First Aspect
    • Y ou should try to understand the reasons for your boss’ difficult behavior.
  • 6.
    • Y ou have to manage your own negative emotions regarding his/her behavior so that you do not engage in self-defeating behavior.

    • You need to learn to communicate your ideas/reactions/concerns in a helpful positive way, creating an atmosphere for problem resolution.
  • 8. Types of Bosses
    • There are many kind of different bosses.
    • We prepared a short list with some examples.
  • 9. The Weakest Link
    • He is very scared of anyone more senior to him.
    • He avoids confrontation and he is never up to protect his subordinates.
  • 10. The Toy Soldier
    • Everybody is scared of him. So, nobody in the company would face him.
    • He is very aggressive and tough and never listen to new ideas from his subordinates.
  • 11. The Stinker
    • He is not used to have shower in the morning, so he stinks and have bad breath.
  • 12. The Evil Boss
    • It is the boss that likes to humiliate his subordinates, by pointing out their mistakes at the top of his voice.
  • 13. Mr. Right Man
    • He can not handle the job so he blames his subordinates for all the mistakes.
    • And fire many people to hide his mistakes.
  • 14. Mr. Wrong
    • It is the boss that always insisted that he is right.
    • But he couldn't spell and his grammar was terrible. And he always says that the dictionary is wrong.
