Create a new development package which can be used to contain
different development objects
A development package is a container for related development
objects
Development objects include reports, transactions, function
modules, events, screens, menus, database fields, field
definitions, and program messages
A package is required when doing any ABAP development in SAP

3. Open Transaction SE80
Transaction
SE80 is a
central
location to
view all
development
objects
created in the
system

4. Select Package From Menu
Select
“Package”
from the drop
down list

5. Enter The Name Of Your Package
Enter the desired name of the package in
the input box
Once the popup screen appears press „Yes‟
button

6. Enter Description Package
Enter a description for the
new package
You can also enter an
application component for
the package
Press the save button

7. Select A Workbench Request
A workbench
request is used to

You can choose a workbench
request that is already
created
You can also choose to
create a new workbench

transport and

10. Conclusion
You have now created a new development package
This package can now be used for any related development objects
that you create in SAP
You can view which objects belong to a package in the object
directory (transaction: SE80)
