Slides from my NTEN webinar on October 11, 2007: In this repeat webinar, non-profit consultant Peter Deitz will present his original benchmark figures for group fundraising as well as new research on the effective use of Facebook applications for distributed fundraising campaigns. Published in June on TechSoup, the benchmark figures were derived from the internal statistics of five leading services (ChipIn, Firstgiving, GiveMeaning, SixDegrees, and JustGive.org). This webinar explains how nonprofits can use the benchmark figures to integrate group fundraising into larger annual or capital campaigns. The webinar will also feature current success stories of non-profits using group fundraising and Facebook to reach new donors while deepening their relationships with existing supporters. The Facebook applications discussed in this webinar include: Causes, ChipIn, Fundraising, and Change.org.

Donors have many choices today so nonprofit organizations are recruiting their constituents to help them inspire donors to give. The strategy is classic peer-to-peer fundraising, but organizations are being more creative than ever with the execution. From special events to do-it-yourself fundraising, there are so many options to integrate Peer to Peer fundraising into your organization’s revenue stream that you may not know where to start. In this session, we will give you an overview of the latest trends and industry best practices in Peer to Peer Fundraising and then help you build the road map your organization needs to either start a new campaign or enhance your current ones.

The big news: online revenue for nonprofits grew by just 1% in 2018. But that's just scratching the surface of the M+R Benchmarks Study, and if we dig a bit deeper we will find a vast treasure trove of crucial findings. Join us for an in-depth review of digital data from dozens of nonprofits and explore what’s working, what’s trending, and what’s changing for online fundraising, advocacy, and marketing. We'll share key metrics for: Fundraising, including retention, ticket sales, membership, and more. Email, from advocacy to newsletters to fundraising. Social media, with a special focus on Facebook Fundraisers. Digital ads -- how much your peers are spending, where they're spending it, and what kind of returns they're seeing. Mobile, including web traffic, bulk SMS, and peer-to-peer advocacy.
