Principles of Effective Technology Integration Student use of technology Students each had their own computer and were actively learning for themselves. Technology use is essential Adding illustrations to add meaning was the learning focus and technology was necessary. Focus on learning task Students spent more time writing and adding illustrations to their work than they did on learning the technology. Added value Without this technology, students would not feel like real published authors. The students felt so official with their printed work and real pictures, rather than their handwritten draft and drawn pictures.
