• Struck by rain is going to be a romantic
  comedy, mixed in with musical drama.
When will your film be released?
• Our film will be released during the summer
  period ( July- September). This is the perfect
  time for our film to be released because it’s
  the summer holidays where kids are off school
  and some adults are off work, so this will bring
  a wider audience that releasing it after that
  time.
Target Audience
• Our target audience will be 14 to 40 year olds.
  We believe that this is a suitable target
  audience for the genre and plot of this film,
  also through research have accounted that
  people between these age ranges enjoy
  musicals.
Synopsis
• Women in her 30’s( Sarah Bailey) has had a tough
  life trying to get on the west end and be famous .
  Until she stumbles across an ad in the paper for
  the role of Elphaba in wicked. She doesn’t get the
  role, she then leaves the theatre and is engulfed
  with rain, several cars pass and she is splashed by
  puddles, she just wishes that the she lived the life
  of a musical. When she wakes up the next day
  she is engulfed in the crazy tack tile world that is
  being center stage and questions whether this is
  what she truly wanted.
How much money will it cost?
• We believe the budget for our film will be an
  estimates £30,000,000. This is because were
  the film is a musical we will need a studio
  were we can record songs and digital edit
  them, we will also need an extensive
  wardrobe because it’s a musical inside a
  musical, so there will be lots of extras involved
  as well as original cast.

  • #6 Women in her 30’s Sarah Bailey (IdinaMenzel)has had a tough life trying to get on the west end and be famous . Until she stumbles across an ad in the paper for the role of Elphaba. She immediately jumps at the chance and calls to schedule an audition, she shows up for her audition and sings if her life depended on it. She is immediately told that she is not what there looking for, she gets upset and runs out. When she gets outside she breaks down and believes that she will never get a chance to be on the west end and vows to give up, it starts to heavily rain and she is engulfed in wetness, she then wishes her life could be like a musical and that she would eventually get a happy ending. As she is trying to hail down a cab a car drives past and splashes her when he passes. She eventually makes it home has and cleans herself up. When she wakes up the next day she doesn’t realise anything is different until she tries to leave her apartment and is attacked by reporter asking her how she feels on being the next best thing in the west end and how she seems to deal with it all. She gets very confused as the day goes on and comes to realise that something has changed, so she tries to change it back until she meets a handsome young man Martin Smith (hughJanaro) who she recognises to be the director who turned her down for the role of elphaba , she gets to know him and eventually falls inlove with him. when the time comes will she ever want to leave this new world, she ends up loosing everything because she realises that she doesn’t want to live this life anymore and just wants to go home. When she leaves the theatre after quitting her job she is then again engulfed in rain, she just wishes she could go home and go back to her normal life. She wakes up the next day and is back home. She then goes to see Martin and asks him out on a date.
