2. Overview
Our Photographic Journalism course is, we think, unique in
the country.
We look at photography in the wider context of
journalism, with software training and creative workshops.
You get tuition from working journalists and lecturers who
have years of experience with creative technologies.
We emphasise the fact that, with us, you actually get to do
journalism while you're on the course.

Editor's Notes
Please mention that for 2012 start tuition fee loans are available to part-time students for the first time.Examples of ScholarshipsOutstanding Achievement Scholarship -For full-time home undergraduates (students from the UK) starting in 2012 who achieve three A level grades at AAB or above we offer a fee waiver of £1,000 off your first year fees. There’s no need to complete an application form - if you have attained the necessary grades, your scholarship will be confirmed to you when you register for your course in September 2012. National Scholarship ProgrammeIf your household income is less than £25,000 a year you may be able to find help through the new £150m National Scholarship Programme. This is a scheme that is being introduced to help people from low income families wanting to go to university in 2012. The government has set national eligibility criteria based on household income, and each university has designed its own scholarship scheme with extra criteria. There are at least 520 scholarships available to home undergraduates starting in 2012 at Leeds Metropolitan, and a full-time scholarship is worth £3,000. This includes a cash bursary of £1,000 ,£2,000 credit on a Leeds Metropolitan card, which can be used to pay for a range of services provided by Leeds Metropolitan University e.g. accommodation, catering.
Please mention that whilst working, if ever you slip back underneath the 21k threshold you once again cease to make any repayments.
For this and the next slide on accommodation just talk through the bullet points but personalise it to your experience of halls of residence, what you thought of them, the facilities etc etc.
