3. The Christmas story symbolizes that period in our life in which the understanding of
our divine nature and destiny comes to birth in the manger of our soul.
Christmas symbolism is rooted in the presence of Light. Whether it's the Christ Light,
or the sun's light returning back to our focus with the lengthening of days, it is Truth
that the Christmas time of year (around the winter solstice) is a time to "See the
Light."
This time of year marks the least amount of light shining in our day. Each
consecutive day after the winter solstice is a day imbued with promise because the
sun lingers just a wee bit longer. And although the grip of winter is still firm and often
cruel, the promise of lengthening Light insures hope will be restored, rebirth is
coming.
So, in the Spirit of renewal and welcoming the Light of Understanding in this time of
year, we are called to celebrate our unity with Christ-consciousness and the rebirth
within us of this enlightened master who brings light to our souls. Regardless of our
religious traditions, let us have a rebirth in Light – an inspirational and enlightening
Christ-mass.
May the light and joy of this season give birth to the
Christ within your heart
