I have emulated my findings by researching film trailers on YouTube and watching horror films, such as
Paranormal Activity. We considered comedy films and comedy horror like the Scary Movie sequels.
However we realised the timing of comedy and horror would be harder to pull off as none of us have a
natural talent for comedy, so we decided the best option would be a horror opening and title sequence.
We chose to replicate the CCTV high angle shot as used Paranormal Activity 2. (see below)

Screen shot of CCTV Screen shot of CCTV
The Waiting Beethoven productions Paranormal Activity 2

During filming we used a dolly zoom technique in one of our shots to create
the same effect in the opening sequence in the horror film The Descent. This
shot was not in our story board but we decided to experiment and try it and it
turned out to work really well.
When editing our production we tried to emulate the CCTV blue night vision
transition, we decided it did not suit, so we chose to keep it the way it was.
We used a variety of filming techniques in our production such as the main high angle CCTV shot, POV
shot, over the shoulder shot, low angle shot, long shot, Etc. Our filming techniques were significantly
different apart from the CCTV shot we emulated from Paranormal Activity 2.
The two main shots used in Paranormal Activity 2, which were a high angle CCTV and hand held video
      recording style shots.

High angle Low angle Over the shoulder Point of view

Mid shot Dolly zoom shot Close up Long shot

The main reason we chose to use all these different types of camera shots was to make the audience
       feel right in the scene.

Also when watching Paranormal Activity 2 we noticed the non diegetic sound worked really well in
some scenes. With the dolly zoom shot we used non diegetic sound to help the shot build suspense as
the character zooms closer to the camera.
For our research we watched
a clip from the grudge, which
gave us a great idea from the
grudge of making the scary
character in our production
visible to the audience, but
completely unseen to then
main characters.

In the clip of the grudge you
don't notice the boy or is hard
to spot at first , same as you
can see the girl on the stairs
but its not obvious.
When watching through our
production we thought this
shot had worked out really
well.
