IntelliChoice Energy provides natural gas powered heating and cooling units called NextAireTM that are more efficient and less expensive to operate than traditional electric units. The company's founder, Tommis Young, has over 30 years of experience in HVAC and has established IntelliChoice Energy as a leading provider of natural gas VRF technology in the United States. Data from installed NextAireTM units shows they require minimal maintenance while providing significant operational cost savings and reductions in carbon emissions for customers.

7. ICE: Well Established and Emerging
• When cooling, the 8-ton Multi-Zone GHP uses approximately 0.75
therms per hour.
• With 28 8-ton units currently in the U.S. the following has
occurred:
• Total hours run among the 28 units: 226,150 hours
• 226,150 hours @ 0.75 therms/hour = 169,613 therms
• When cooling, the 15-ton Multi-Zone GHP uses approximately 1.89
therms per hour.
• With 121 15-ton units currently in the U.S. the following has
occurred:
• Total hours run among the 121 units: 656,985 hours
• 656,985 hours @ 1.89 therms/hour = 1,898,687 therms

13. Data & Monitoring
• Units are monitored virtually through the use of sophisticated technology.
• In the Multi-Zone units an e-mail is sent to a predetermined list of
recipients of any irregularity in operation.
• The Packaged and Multi-Zone units record any occurrence storing it to
memory for future use by a technician remotely and/or onsite.
• Issues arising are normally detected prior to any disruption in functionality and
can sometimes be corrected remotely.
• If service is necessary, ICE has locally trained technicians, required to
respond within two hours, available to address issues in a timely manner.
• Units are regularly serviced every 6,000 hours by local technicians.
• Service includes an oil change, belt changes and a multi-point check of
the system to ensure operational integrity.
14. Data & Monitoring – Three Examples of Success
As a result of sophisticated monitoring and exceptional data collection, IntelliChoice
Energy’s NextAire™ product line is showing long-lasting, sustainable technology ready to
revolutionize the use of natural gas for heating and cooling:
• 10 Packaged GHPs in the southwest with more than 43,000 combined run-hours having
required only limited service and regularly scheduled maintenance. Among the units:
• One unit with more than 12,000 run-hours
• Three units with more than 6,000 run-hours
• Two Multi-Zone units in Arizona with more than 15,000 run-hours EACH have required
only routine service and have operated without any system failures or major
component replacements.
• One NextAire™ Multi-Zone unit has acquired more than 40,000 run-hours of operation
and has had NO abnormal operating condition process upsets in its lifetime.
15. Testimonials
“We have identified several key opportunities in the commercial market for the
GHP technology to be launched in our territory. If several of these opportunities
materialize, we believe that the stage will be set for the advantages of GHP
technology to be demonstrated not only to the user at the site location, but also
other potential users of the technology, other stakeholders, and decision
influencers at the state level in Delaware and Maryland.
Based upon our understanding of the GHP technology, and in addition to the
environmental benefits of GHP, we see an added energy services opportunity of
proactively promoting this technology, saving our customers money, and adding
incremental load in our marketplace.”
Darrell Wilson, Director of Business Development
Chesapeake Utilities Corporation
16. Testimonials
“Having had the opportunity to install the new NextAire™ units, both Package
and Split systems, I am very impressed with not only the quality of the equipment
but the ease in which they can be retrofitted to a variety of applications.
I have been in the HVAC industry for 36 years and the NextAire™ equipment is
by far and away the most exciting technology I’ve seen in my career.”

18. Investment & ROI
When compared to similar VRF technology, NextAire™ products are competitively priced.
However, the heating and cooling technology currently being purchased by national/multi-
national organizations such as franchises and retail stores yields a lower initial cost (usually
1/4 to 1/3 of the cost).
This high-efficiency technology
will marginally reduce operation
and maintenance costs.
VRF Technology
Superior technology currently
yielding limited ROI.
NextAire™, a product that pairs
VRF Technology and the use of
natural gas, a more efficient
and less expensive commodity, Gas Heat Pumps
has a proven ROI when the
conditions are right.
19. Investment & ROI
While the NextAire™ gas powered product and the more conventional electrical units provide
similar heating and cooling attributes, NextAire™ products are the only solution
able to reduce your carbon footprint while achieving operations and maintenance savings.
The following experiences are just examples of how working with ICE to install its NextAire™
products will create a more sustainable, long-term solution for heating and cooling:
Required to reduce carbon emissions
by new regulations, this base installed
NextAire™ units and experienced a Ft. Huachuca, Southern Arizona
47% reduction in water usage
among other savings.
Electric Chillers Initial Cost = $1.1 Million
Southwest Gas Corporation, Arizona NextAire™ Units Cost = $1.1 Million
Annual NextAire™ Savings = $20-40K
By installing NextAire™ units,
Winslow Schools were able to avoid Winslow Schools, Northern Arizona
$1 Million in costs to upgrade their
electrical infrastructure.
