II. Developing a Wellness Plan:

white blood cells? These WBC’s are
likely fighting an infection that should
be checked out by a doctor. Clear
mucus is normal.

such as after exercise or when going
into a cold environment? This could
be due to allergies and/or asthma.

V. Classwork:
a.The class will be split into six groups, one
for each area of physical wellness. For
each of the questions in the set of
wellness questions assigned to your
group:
i. List one or two possible negative
answers.
ii. Make up a corrective action, which is
a set of things for the person to do so
they could answer the questions
8. positively, and improve their
wellness.
A. Ex: To the question “Am I allergic
to anything?” –a person might
answer:
a. “I don’t know”, or
b.“Yes, to peanuts, etc...”
B. Of these two answers, the “I
don’t know” answer is the
negative one, as the person is
unaware of their allergy status. At
least the person who answers
that they are allergic to peanuts
can take actions to avoid what
they are allergic to.
C. A corrective action for the “I
don’t know” answer could be for
the person to go to the doctor
and request an allergy test to
determine what the person is
allergic to.
9. VI.Homework:
a. As part of the thirty five answers that you
got from answering the questions in
lesson 5.1, identify eight questions that
you think you could improve on, and
make up a corrective action for each one.
“I will .... .... .... to improve my wellness.”
b. Due next class for a completion check at
the beginning of class.
