This one has the polish of a woman who appreciates a finely tailored coat, who prefers minimal to more, and who definitely loves a little luxe.
10. Trend Report- Conservative Glamour There's no question that the recession has left an indelible mark on fashion. It's forced women to change their shopping habits and in turn forced designers to react. Thus, the reemergence of luxury on the runways was approached from a smarter, leaner, savvier vantage.

And she’s certainly not afraid of color — lots of bold ones paired together in seemingly off combos that as a whole work wonderfully. Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta (seen here) weren't afraid to embrace her. In fact, they wrote the book on ultra-ladylike looks that have a piled-on (within chic reason) charm. 14. Trend Report - Great Outdoors Go West, young woman. Or at least get out of the city. That was the message ringing from several runways. Girls got tough — not in a gritty, leather-and-chains kind of way but rather with a lumberjack-loving mien. She;s ready for adventure!
16. Trend Report - Stevie Nicks' Boho Rhapsody Channel Fleetwood Mac’s songstress with Gothic prairie dresses, fur tails, and luxe gypsy accessories. Take on boho with tons of froth, flou, frills, layers, and pretty much anything that will flutter in a light breeze.
18. Trend Report : Sock It 2 Em’ Given that thigh high boots are on trend and that they can't be worn every day there has to be an alternative with similar appeal. Hence for Autumn / Fall 2010 you'll find yourself rummaging through your sock draw and donning a pair of knee high socks. Or over the knee socks. Or thigh high socks. From the sporty to the sparkly, to layerings of socks over tights; a great pair of socks can add that extra, and much needed, eye catching detail to an outfit. 20. Trend Report- Velvet Velvet is the ‘it fabric’ for fall 2010. Colored velvets in burgundy wine, forest green and midnight blue are the best. Love velvet peeking out from under otherwise conservative or minimalist outfits. They add a new texture dimension and a fuzzy feeling that will make women feel undeniably plush this fall.Velvet—especially red and oxblood colored—was all over the New York runways for fall 2010.
