  • 2. Home Front
    • By 1914, 5.09 million women worked in Britain.
    • Many women worked in large factories, and offices. Soldiers socks were knitted by women during this era.
    • Some woman worked in business to build aircrafts. Woman served as volunteers for the Red Cross.
    • During this era women played a big part, because at the time it was the women’s job to take care of their families. Women worked as hard as men, but unfortunately men were paid more than women.

  • 3. Military Service
    • During WWl many of the women became nurses. Women got to experience, and were involved in the front, because they were nurses for the war.
    • Women became noticed during this time, because they contributed to society.
    • Women played a big role during the war, because the men relied on the women during injuries.
