  16. 21. Lessons Learned <ul><li>The project used easy to learn tools to create and maintain the Wordpress site
  17. 22. Open source sound tools ie. Audacity 3.0
  18. 23. Word Press Site </li><ul><li>Enhancement included CSS and extra audio storage.
  19. 24. Widgets use include Flickr API, RSS feeds, VodPod for Video feeds
  20. 25. Use of categories for effective searching </li></ul></ul>
  21. 26. Legacy <ul><li>The content is also archived at Internet Archive http://www.archive.org in MP3 format
  22. 27. Video is housed at YouTube and Blip.tv
  23. 28. Original content is provide to Community Radio via PRX http://www.prx.org
  24. 29. Offered to Legion Magazine in Wav format for online distribution
  25. 30. Distributed stories to storytellers on a CD </li></ul>
  26. 31. Results <ul><li>Since it launched in November 2008 we have had over 3,200 direct hits on wordpress
  27. 32. The online stories in Audio Soundslide (SWF) format reported to have over 1 million hits per month
  28. 33. Over 265 stories uploaded to Http://www.archive.org
  29. 34. Always free, always available </li></ul>
  30. 35. Wish List <ul><li>More school/student involvement in the planning and production
  31. 36. More stories from the home front and Women Auxillary Services
  32. 37. Seek out Open Source Developers to employ and customize Plug-ins ie. E- Newsletter </li></ul>
