2. Nerve cells are all over our body, more than
trillions. The nervous system is made up of neurons
which are specialized cells. There are approximately
100 billion neurons just in our brain. They are
similar to other cells on the body because they have
a nucleus, cell membrane and cytoplasm. Neurons
are very long and can send information (transmit
electrical signals) up to 300km/s.
