The FSP Retail News Index is a 3 month moving average measure of sentiment in reported
retail news stories.
The September RNI index for All Retailers increased this month by two, going from 101 to
103.
For the first time in over a year, all the RNI indices have increased, compared to the
previous month.
Clothing & Footwear, Grocery and Food & Beverage all went up by one.
Leisure saw the biggest increase of 7, jumping from 101 to 108.
Household and Personal also saw significant jumps. Household went from 100 to 103, and
Personal increased from 97 to 101.
