2. Saturno
Saturn is the sixth planet from
the sun, is second in size after
Jupiter's mass and is the only
one with a ring system visible
from Earth. Its name comes
from the Roman god Saturn. It
is part of the so-called
gaseous outer planets, also
called Jovian for its
resemblance to Jupiter. The
most characteristic aspect of
Saturn are the bright rings.
Before the invention of the
telescope, Saturn was the
farthest of the planets known
and, at first glance, it seemed
bright and interesting.
