2. According to the mock up I have divided the
articles into two sections the cover stories and the
regulars. The name of the magazine is at top of
the page and below is the issue date. I used a
dark red color to under line the name of the
magazine and the two headings "cover stories
and regulars" as it gives a tidy impact.
I have used a bold font for the name of the
different articles in both the sections. To
differentiate he description about the articles
given they are not in a bold font.
I have placed the article name, description and
page number on one the images. I changed the
font color and font of the article name to a
different color and font style because it looked
really dull.
However, the color I used is the same color I
used to underline the name of the magazine,
cover stories and regulars because I wanted to
stay in a limited range when it came to the colors
for the text. But I did not bring any changes to
the description because I did not wanted to over-
do it. The page number is placed right next to
the caption.
3. Polygonal Lasso
Tool
Using the polygonal
lasso tool I cropped the
images background
and placed them on the
contents page. I
positioned them
together. Just like I saw
on many contents page
during my research.
I placed the second
images just the way it
was however I
adjusted its brightness
as the picture looked a
little bit dark to me.
4. I used the color white for the
background because when I tried
different colors they did not look that
appealing.
5. But, then the contents page looked
too plain so instead of using a plain
white background I tried to use a
gradient for the background and the
color I picked was from the first
images and it made a good
combination.
