5. Court is in Session A young burglar was trying to break into a couples’ house on a factory estate when he was disturbed . He decided to flee the area, so he turned and ran from the house. As he was running he tripped over an uneven pavement and fell, breaking his arm. The young burglar sued the local council for not maintaining the area. Now, you the jury, discuss the case
6. You be the Judge Did the court rule FOR Or AGAINST The young man? The burglar’s solicitor claimed he did nothing wrong and that the council should maintain the streets properly.
7. Court is in session! A farmer in England was constantly troubled by juveniles breaking into his farmhouse. The farmer reported this to the police, but they were unable to do anything, so he decided to take the law into his own hands . When two boys broke into his house one night the farmer lay in wait . Waiting in the dark house at night with his shotgun, the farmer surprised the boys and shot one of the boys in the back and the boy died. Now, you the jury, discuss the case

When he put his thumb in the hole to pull open the door and leave the bathroom, another patron pushed the door to enter. The apparent injury to his thumb was so severe he required surgery on his tendons and missed work for six months. He pressed charges against the realtor for negligence . Now, you the jury, discuss the case
