3. Design plays a big part in the area of social media. It is used every day without anyone realizing it.
4. We use it in our webpages, our Blogs, in advertising, and even our email
5. Social Media has been around for quite a while, Newspapers, Television, and Radio are early forms of Social Media. Even then DESIGN played a big part of how they were presented
6. Actually society governs DESIGN in a way. Remember when you could not watch ELVIS PRESLEY on TV from the waist down. Format DESIGN was dictated so it would only show Elvis from the waist up.
7. Social Media today comes in the form of facebook, twitter, and youTube. Again DESIGN helps in the development of these forms of media. You can see it in the layout of their pages. Even in the layout of this pitiful story
8. But what about me I am not an artist, I cannot create these things on a computer!
9. That’s the great thing about social media. You don’t have to be an artist. There is this thing called a collective community where people put their design up for use a no cost to anyone. Really !

11. Yeah! You can find all kinds of things, but you have to be careful. Social Media can also hurt the designer.
12. Depending upon how immersed one becomes in using social media, as you can see by the report from a local TV station on its affects on school work. A graphic designer can also end up hurting themselves more the helping. Click the video
13. It can be a distraction or diversion, can create an imbalance between work and life, the ability for spamming and scamming doesn’t help much either. The chance for plagiarism increases and the need for continuous update and change is required taking time from creativity and work.
