1. Just a Day at Chehaw An interactive environment of Chehaw Wild Animal Park in Albany, GA
2. Our first stop was the dreaded reptile house. ICK!! The first snake we saw was a python. After seeing this one, I figured one snake picture was good enough for the reptiles.
3. Next, we saw two red wolves. One even posed for me.
4. Onto another reptile that was too big to fit in the reptile house, the alligators. These alligators were so still, all two dozen of them looked stuffed and placed on AstroTurf. They didn’t even blink! We stood there about ten minutes waiting to see if one would move. Never happened.
5. Then onto the fastest animal, the cheetahs. The three or four cheetahs looked to be laying out in the sun and relaxing. They couldn’t care less that people were actually watching them. See this one’s reaction?
6. Onto the bears. The three bears would not be still, especially this one that just paced back and forth.
8. The little pesky meerkats… There was a window by their pen that they kept trying to find a way out Of, to no avail, of course. This one, on the other hand, was sitting perfectly still the entire time. At first, it was a little shy.
10. It would look at me for a few minutes, then turn its head when I would take the picture. So, I moved closer…
11. Apparently, it either gave up or got tired of me taking pictures. It finally looked right at me and let me get a good picture of it looking my way.
12. And last, but not least, the rhinoceros. We went here earlier, but it was being fed on the other side of its pen and I couldn’t get a good picture. We came back to go out of the park and saw that it was in perfect view.
13. There are interactive clicks and sounds throughout this presentation. If you go through and find each spot over the animals’ heads, you can hear its sound with the exception of the meerkat.
