After a long time of researching and choosing. I
choose to go with Bauer Media as they are a
well known publishing company across the
world. They are the publishers of many well
known magazines such as EMPIRE and
MOJO. Also they work with KERRANG!.
KERRANG! I there inly rock/metal/alternative
magazine. They have experience with my
genre of magazine and also have room for
SMASH! On their market.
3. Here is my pitch to Bauer
media. I have decided to go
with this company due to their
work with big names such as
Kerrang!, mojo! And Empire.
When my magazine has been
published, I think it will bring in
a wider audience due to link
between these magazines. It
will also make the audience
believe that SMASH! Magazine
is up in the market with these
big names.

5. POSITIVES AND NEGATIVES OF HAVING TWO
MAGAZINES WITH A SIMILAR GENRE
Both magazines are pitching the o the same audience which may be
positive and negative.
Advantages
By having more than one magazine of the same genre will attract a
bigger and wider audience, which means a bigger success for the
publisher and more money.
SMASH!, deals with more sub genre’s of rock which will attract a wider
audience for people who like different genre’s of rock.
Bauer, will earn more money by having two magazines with the same
genre as more people will buy the different magazines.
Disadvantages
Rivalry between both of the magazines.
Both genre’s may clash and prevent the sales increasing for one of the
magazines.
