How to become the employee or employer you would choose for yourself.

2. Step 1
Determine how you want to be treated in the
workplace. Think about how you want to be treated by
other employees and your employer. Make a list of those
things.

3. Step 2
Take that list and rearrange the words to pertain to
yourself.
For example, “I want other employees to respect me by
listening to and considering my ideas.”
Instead write- “I will respect other employees by
listening to and considering their ideas.”

4. Step 3
This is the most difficult step. Look in the mirror.
Honestly look at yourself and how you treat others in
the workplace. This is such an imperative step that you
can’t go on to Step 4 until this step is honestly solidified.
Look at each of your requests of yourself. Which ones
do you honestly already do and which ones need some
work?

5. Step 4
Pick one of your requests to work on at a time. Once this
request becomes a habit, choose a new one to work on.
These changes will have positive effects on the people
around you.

6. Step 5
Keep striving to be the employee/employer you want
