We achieved this with a very unique interior
design. When demolition had begun, we found
the roof deck and trusses to be elegant and in the Construction Cost $170,000.00
spirit of the owners goals. Using this as an integral
part of the new space, we created detailed joins in Program Seven Workstations
the ceiling plan. We also wanted the entrance and Lobby space for 14 clients
waiting area to be an intriguing experience to their Two Closing Rooms
clients. We achieved this with a curved wall that Print Room
is the reception station and a shelving area. The Employee Lounge
closing rooms were designed to give two distinct
spaces, one as a more open and corporate and COPY EMPLOYEE
the other as a close and intimate space. We used

the old bank vault as the intimate space with a
neutral soft white wall wash and warm furniture
and lighting tones. The larger closing room is open
and utilizes the existing building form to act as a
nook that the table and chairs fit nicely into.

We also were given the opportunity to design

One of the happy accidents of this project occurred with the Vault Closing
Room table. The original table the owner had and wanted to use in this
space turned out to be too large for the door and was not able to be
disassembled. While helping them to find a replacement, we proposed that
our talented contractor’s finish carpenter build a table. It turned out nicely
and was less expensive than a manufactured table.
The design brought other elements into this room and was a simple,
affordable, and elegant solution. The legs are interlocking maple plywood -
one stained the same as the trim, the other showcasing the natural warm
tones of the wood. They are positioned to allow for a person to pull a chair
completely under the table and not hit their knees. The table was raised an
extra three inches above a standard table to allow many different styles of
armed chair. The aluminum channel in the center brings an element found
in the other closing room lowered soffits to the space as an inversion of
tones and materials between them.
The pattern on the wall is to be installed later, it acts as a back-splash made from bank deposit box aluminum doors. Soffit designed to hang from unistrut attached to existing channels View of Vault Closing Room with suspended soffit and custom furniture
