Bahadur Shah • Bahadur Shah, better known as Bahadur Shah Zafar. • Born: October 24, 1775, Delhi • Died: November 7, 1862, Yangon • Spouse: Zeenat Mahal • Parents: Akbar Shah
the last Mughal emperor
As Emperor • became Mughal Emperor when his father died on 28 September 1837. • He used Zafar, a part of his name, meaning “victory”, for his nom de plume (takhallus) as an Urdu poet. • British tried and then exiled him from Delhi and sent him to Rangoon .

  • 6. As Emperor • became Mughal Emperor when his father died on 28 September 1837. • He used Zafar, a part of his name, meaning “victory”, for his nom de plume (takhallus) as an Urdu poet. • British tried and then exiled him from Delhi and sent him to Rangoon .
