Los Angeles to combat drug use
and violence.
• It is an officer-led program
orchestrated by police offers in
classrooms.
• The program is taught from
kindergarten to 12th grade.
• It is currently being utilized by
over 75% of America’s school
districts and over 43 countries.
3. How D.A.R.E. Helps
• D.A.R.E. gives many kids a role model to look
up to when combating many of society’s ills.
• It also gives a group system to combat those
ills. By joining D.A.R.E., they not only have the
officers, but each other to rely on through the
program.
• It also helps educate parents on possible harsh
realities so they can also better help their
children.
