In pairs, assign a level to this work by:
Using the Notes proforma and highlighting the
relevant features on the work sample, e.g. verbs and
verb groups in green, nouns and noun groups in red,
etc.

4. Analysing your samples
1. Order your work samples from least sophisticated to most
sophisticated.
2. Collect the LLL documentation from 2015 ready to add to.
3. Begin with the most sophisticated work sample first.
4. Use the Notes proforma and/or highlight the work sample to show
evidence of the different features, referring to your copy of the
Language and Literacy Levels document.
5. Use a green highlighter on the LLL document to show where the
skills evident in this work sample sit on the continuum.
6. Fill in the details on the cover sheet – date, genre, level and file in
the Yellow Folder next to the previous data.
