• I know the landscape: I grew up in Brockton, went to Brockton
  public schools and still own a house there.
• I already have many valuable contacts in the city
• I have thirty-five years’ experience in the news business, much of it
  local, plus new digital skills to apply
• I’m committed to city and to Shoe City News, ready to work hard
  and sacrifice to make it work

• Competition: Weak. Regional newspaper with paltry local coverage and little
  engagement, one lively website with lots of opinion but no news content
• Research shows need for provider of digital business services and low-cost
  advertising opportunities.
• Design: Clean, off-the-shelf WordPress theme to start. Site will feature easy-to-use
  tools for contributors and supporters to post and update in real time
