1. Violence is a negative action to harm others.
2. Violence is not limited to physical violence. It
includes verbal violence and mental violence.
Mental violence means ill-feeling to others.
3. Violence brings us sufferings through negative
consequences immediately after the action and
in the long term.

1. Violent action arises from violent motivation and
violent motivation arises from violent emotion.
2. Violent motivation means malice toward others
such as harming, cheating, bullying and exploiting.
3. Violent emotion means destructive emotion such as
anger and hatred. And destructive emotions are
based on our self-centered mind.

1. Non-violent action arises from non-violent
motivation and non-violent motivation arises from
non-violent Reason.
2. Non-violent motivation means goodwill toward
others through calm mind.
3. Non-violent Reason means altruistic mind such as
compassion and warm-heart.
4. Destructive emotion is our own creation, so we can
control it through Reason.
