THE KOLHAPUR – PANHALA EXPERIENCE:
DAY 01: MUMBAI – PANHALA:
Morning, pick up from your Mumbai Hotel at 0630 hours. Leave for Kolhapur by road (km). Arrive Panhala and check
in at the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. (D)
DAY 02: PANHALA
Morning after breakfast leave for a half day tour of the impressive Panhala Fort., Panhala fort has three huge double
walled gates, of which only two remain today. To the west of the fort is Teen Darwaza, an impressive structure double
story building, known as Sajja Kothi, is situated in the northeast corner of the building. Evening at leisure to explore
Panhala on your own. Overnight at the hotel. (B, D)
DAY 03: PANHALA
Morning after breakfast visit the New Palace, The Mahalaxmi Temple and the Radhanagari Dam: The New Palace
was constructed in the year 1884. The ground floor has been converted into a museum, known as the Chhatrapati
Sahu Museum and exhibits an impressive collection of costumes, weapons, games, jewellery, embroidered items and
the belongings of the royalty of Kolhapur. One can also find the items used by Maharaja Shahaji Chhatrapati, like
guns, trophies and clothes, in the museum. Also visit the Mahalakshmi Temple. Evening at leisure / shopping at
Kolhapur. Return to Panhala. Overnight at the hotel. (B, D)
DAY 04: PANHALA – MUMBAI
Morning after breakfast check out of the hotel and leave for Mumbai (393 km). Arrive Mumbai and drop at your
Mumbai or Pune Hotel / Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport / CST Terminus for onward destination. Tour ends.
