3. About TLH
The Light House is a social Initiative committed to the
Training, Teaching, Tutoring, Nurturing, Development, and
Empowerment of Teenagers and Youths towards Effective
leadership and their community. The organization is raising today’s
leaders to build a continent by investing vehemently into their lives
through our compendious activities.
4. TLH highlights
Presently, this young organization functions in 4 states across
the country; Lagos, Ogun, Kwara, and Ondo State.
In 2010, The Light House established an Academy with the
sole focus of integrating its mentorship schemes into different
school programs.
With a lot of innovations, The light House has equipped over
Five thousand (5000) young people, most especially those in
the secondary schools.
Currently, this initiative has about 1500 facebook fans that
currently interact in the Facebook group.
5. To be identified as a platform for developing
Our Vision
Our Goals dynamic, innovative, sacrificial and highly endowed
leaders who will foster the arrival of this generation.
The Light House will one day organize creative art exhibition for
skillful and creative young Nigerians and also award scholarships for
outstanding performances
The Art of Eloquence and Elocution (TAEE), an oratory challenge and
speech competition for Teenagers in Nigeria
Annual West African Youth Leaders conferences; the largest
socioeconomic gathering of West African youths. This project aims at
solving leadership problems in Africa through training.
Annual Teenagers Leadership Summit: Circumcising the Teens Hearts
One Teen, One Book. A mega National project to encourage young
Nigerians to cultivate reading skills
6. Impact made so far…
This program is designed to train the emerging
young leaders of the coming generation on the
subject of effective leadership, Values and
Integrity. Mentoring our teenagers, especially
those in the secondary schools on the needs
for quality self discovery, personal leadership
and purposeful pursuit in their chosen career.
The program brings 300 teenagers from 30
secondary schools under the tutelage of 30
young achievers in the country. Till date, this
program has gained the attention of about 90 ONE YOUNG ROOM
schools ad has impacted the lives of about 900
Teenagers in the country.
7. Impact made so far…
The Light House fights ignorance among
young people through this program. The
objectives of this innovation are to unleash
the hidden secrets in books to our young
ones, to expose teens to continuous
reading, transform their reasoning and
sharpen their thoughts. The organization
Recruits different motivational, inspirational
and life transforming books from noble
individuals. The gathered books are taken to
selected secondary schools at the consent of ONE TEEN, ONE BOOK
the school administration. These books are
distributed to the students between the ages
13-20 years.

The INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF YOUTH, A United
Nations Program Topic: TEENAGERS SAY NO TO
JUVENILE DELINQUENCY
TLH in partnership with Health Action Concerning
Environment and You, HACEY and Global Hepatitis
Initiative, GHI staged a campaign against juvenile
delinquency in Nigeria.
TLH in collaboration with the above named NGOs presented a one day seminar for
about 150 students. This interactive and impacting talk addressed the issues of
ineptitude among teenagers, inconsistent value system among this age
group, moral declination, ethics quench, delinquent behaviors and the obvious
causes without neglecting the factors which contribute to quality and value based
living.
