This document defines and provides examples of the logical fallacy of hasty or sweeping generalization. It occurs when a conclusion is reached based on limited evidence, such as generalizing one's experience with their son at nursery school to conclude all children should attend, or meeting some polite children from a certain area and concluding all children from there must be well-behaved.
