My background, I've worked remote for 8+ years, with
diverse team members located all around the world.

Before the pandemic, in 2019, about 4 percent of employed people
in the U.S. worked exclusively from home; by May 2020, that figure
rose to 43 percent, according to Gallup.
Remote work or flexible work went from a novelty to an expectation.
80% of U.S. workers say they would turn down a job that didn't offer
flexible working.

  • 3. THE REMOTE SHIFT Before the pandemic, in 2019, about 4 percent of employed people in the U.S. worked exclusively from home; by May 2020, that figure rose to 43 percent, according to Gallup.   • 4. THE ACTUAL BENEFITS OF REMOTE More productive Remote employees work an additional 1.4 more days per month than in-office employees, which is nearly 17 additional workdays a year. Office workers are unproductive for an average of 37 minutes a day, not including lunch or breaks, whereas remote employees are unproductive for only 27 minutes. Work-Life Balance Work and live anywhere. Flexible work hours. Lower Cost Expanded access to find top diverse and talent at a lower cost. Overhead reduced.   • 7. CULTURE How you do what you do in the workplace Organization Structure EOS or another operating system. Define vision, values, and beliefs. Invest in team members outside of work. Communication is key. Know and learn about the diverse cultures of your team.
  • 8. CREATE CONSISTENTCY Remote working for many this is still new. Any process is better than no process at all. Stay connected through one on one meetings, leadership and department meetings. Have agendas for what is suppose to be covered. Keep Remote Work In Mind
  • 9. CONSTANT IMPROVEMENT Create a strategy that fits in with your annual and quarterly goals for team members. Empower team members to find training and education programs online. Many times they are free. Rather than doing traditional reviews, discuss wins and losses from the previous. week. Create a capture list. Create a Longer Term Strategy

  • 11. Very family oriented. Many are working to not just take care of themselves but to take care of other parents and relatives. More than willing to work US timezones or whenever needed. Always happy and good. FILIPINO WORKERS FIND AND HIRE ATTRIBUTES Use services like upwork. Once you do find good workers they will have a lots of referrals. Requires a W8 instead of a W9. Be familiar with the pay rate for the role. Expect them to be very shy and reserved.
