Hello and welcome to “Podcasting for Education.” My name is Barbara Schroeder, and I work for Academic Technologies. My main job is to support and enable faculty to use technology effectively and efficiently. I’m also involved in a Web 2.0 grant, which will explore ways educators can use blogs, wikis, podcasting and other interactive web tools to engage learning. Before I start, I would like to find out what you know about podcasting. We are going to be using a technology that is available for all faculty, this one is called Turning Point Technologies. You can easily create polls, surveys, whatever in PowerPoint and then have your students use these little “clickers” to register their vote. Let’s see if it works!
