The Aphesis Group is a non-profit ministry that provides a 22-lesson Biblically-based group discipleship process to help people go deeper in their relationship with God and others. There is a need for this process because many Christians struggle with issues like lack of satisfaction in God, depression, workaholism, and pornography. The Aphesis Group process helps reshape people's instincts through addressing their heart by exploring their identity, emotions, pain management, and relationships in a safe group setting run by trained facilitators. The process provides time and safety for deep processing and transforming what is really going on in people's lives through reconciling scripture with experiences.

How can this be? Even as Christians if we are truly honest, recognize that there is more…we really haven’t found what we’re looking for. We have the right information, but yet have this deep sense that there must be more….
Inner Life dissonance….”Trust in the Lord with all your heart”…..vs. …..God can’t really be totally trusted; “ I will never leave you or forsake you”…..vs…….I am alone in this world. What we actually believe will trump our head knowledge (what we SAY we believe), and when we are under stress, we will ACT from what we believe (not from what we know). The problem is NOT that we are being dishonest about what we say we believe….the problem is that we haven’t effectively INTEGRATED our beliefs into our hearts. The actions that then result from our actual beliefs can also be defined as our INSTINCTS.
Most Christians will admit that they often struggle with anger, selfishness, pride, etc. and they are genuinely concerned about these ongoing issues in their lives. The common approach is to address the BEHAVIOR. What most people are NOT aware of is that their struggles are ultimately rooted in a set of false beliefs. When the problem is defined as merely emotional or behavioral, true and lasting transformation cannot occur. The underlying beliefs MUST be addressed!
