Call to order and Report from the Board • President Bill Smith welcomed all members and guests to the meeIng. He noted it had been an interesIng year with the resignaIon of • • 2. Report From The Board • Bill reviewed the past year’s events • ï Jason Hashimoto resigned as president in January, prompIng a bit of scramble to firm up a meeIng schedule for the remainder of the season; • ï OuIngs were well afended, averaging 20 members per ouIng; • ï Work is being done to try to coordinate Member Challenge topics with OuIngs; • ï OCC purchased a laptop for Club use; • ï Capture Oakville 2013 was suspended with a plan to improve it and re-­‐launch the event in 2014; • ï OCC invested in a new website, to be unveiled immediately aWer the AGM.

Minutes of 2012 Annual Mee5ng • Moved by Bernie Cook, seconded by Bill Ellis that the Minutes of the 2012 AGM be approved as circulated.Carried • – 4. 2012-­‐13 Financial Statement and 2013-­‐14 Budget • The financial statement showed OCC had a posiIve balance of $8,200, with an emergency fund of $5,000. This was aWer prepayment of rent for meeIng space and payment for the new website. The budget forecast showed OCC to be in a financialy healthy situaIon. • • Moved by Gary van Eijk and seconded by James DeHaan that the 2012-­‐13 Financial Statement and 2013-­‐14Budget be approved as presented. • Carried • • 5. Cons5tu5onal Amendment re: Code of Conduct Bylaw • Bernie Cook explained the new bylaw to the meeIng. All OCC Directors, Officers and Members are expected to abide by the OCC Code of Conduct as described in Appendix A of the OCC ConsItuIon. Further, all members of the Board (Directors and Officers) agree to sign a copy of the Code as a condiIon of serving on the Board. Copies of the signed documents are to be kept by the OCC Secretary. • • Moved by Vince Magro, seconded by Mike Weber that the ConsItuIonal Amendment be approved as circulated.Carried •

General discussion • Topics and ideas put forward included: • ï OCC will use the computer lab at QEP to hold post-­‐producIon workshops; • ï OCC no longer has a waiIng list. There was concern membership could exceed capacity of the meeIng space, but it was determined not all members afend all meeIngs; • ï Have a buy-­‐and-­‐sell for members; • ï Have mechanisms to help novices learn more about photography (Ambassador program was noted and explained). • ï Have monthly shooIng assignments • ï Open up ambassadors program and pair up ambassadors with new members • • • 8. Treasurer’s Report • Statement of Financial Posi5on • As of June 30, 2014, we have a cash balance of $14,413 made up of 5,913 in unrestricted funds, $5,000 is an emergency fund and $3,500 in segregated funds from a grant we received from the Town of Oakville for the Capture Oakville event in December 2014. Prepaid rent and insurance bring our assets to just over $17,500 as of the end of our fiscal year. • • Statement of Opera5ons • We were almost flat in the year, generaIng a small profit of $515. • Major changes vs. prior year include lower Capture Oakville revenue and expenses as a result of the scaled back acIvity. • The loss in Capture Oakville revenue was offset by greater workshop revenue • And finally, lower general expenses had a posiIve impact on our club’s net result • Further informaIon, please contact: Bill Anastasakis, CMA

It’s an opportunity to meet other OCC members you don’t ordinarily talk to and a chance to show something off, it can be some new work on your tablet or laptop, it could be prints, it could be a new piece of gear or a photo book. Even if you recently joined the club it’s a great way to meet new people.
