1. INT. RESTAURANT - AFTERNOON
GUY stares at GIRL from a distance. The GUY is with a friend.
The GIRL is wearing shades. She is calling someone.
GUY (V.O)
I love her.
I hope it’s not too late
The GIRL removes her shades. Her face looks pristine against the
afternoon light. She wipes the tears from her eyes. GUY stares at
her more intently and comforting.
GUY (V.O)
I want to make her happy.
I love her
GUY’S FRIEND looks at him amusingly as if trying to disrupt him
from his trance-like state.
GUY’S FRIEND
Hey! (waves his hand in front of GUY’s face) Stop it.
You CAN’T have her! (mocking/laughing)
GUY (VO)
I’m hoping...
GUY still looks at her and loses her amidst the walking people.
She left. He tries to look for her and found her losing against
the hallway’s walls. The girl wears back her shades.
CUT TO
2. INT. STAIRS - AFTERNOON (CONTINUATION)
GIRL goes down the spiral staircase and exits. GUY rushes, tries
to keep pace with her.

3. INT. ELEVATOR – AFTERNOON (CONTINUATION)

2. GIRL enters elevator. Doors closes but put into a halt by the
guy. GUY enters elevator.
GUY (V.O.)
I’ve never been in love this way before
This is my chance...
Before the GUY can speak up, elevator opens and GIRL exits. He
follows her.
CUT TO
4. EXT.STREETS – LATE AFTERNOON
GUY loses the GIRL amidst the passing people. He tries to look
for her. She’s gone.
CUT TO
5. EXT.UNDERPASS – LATE AFTERNOON
GUY walks alone. He is silhouetted against the orange cast of the
late afternoon.
GUY (V.O.)
I hope it’s not too late
I hope
CUT TO
5. EXT.STREETS NEAR A TRAIN STATION– EARLY EVENING
GUY stands under a lamp post, looks weary. He seems still against
cars passing by. When he turns his face up, he sees the GIRL
climb up the stairs to the train station. He rushes to follow
her.
CUT TO
6. INT.TRAIN– EARLY EVENING
GUY clinches himself on one of the safety hand rails, while
staring at the GIRL from a far. GIRL is over the phone, somber,
talking to someone.
GUY (V.O.)
How will I tell her?

An inch might go wrong.
CUT TO
7. EXT.OVERPASS– EARLY EVENING
GUY follows her, determined to talk to her.
GUY (V.O.)
I want to tell her I love her.
I want to tell her...
(beat) I want to...
As the GUY is about to speak up, ANOTHER GUY of his same built
rushes to the GIRL’s aid. He hugs her. They look intimately
close. GUY is shattered, abandons plan and turns away. (beat)
ANOTHER GIRL from a far looks at the GUY. She is intently
looking at him.
ANOTHER GIRL (V.O.)
I love him...
